The scene depicted in the original painting by Veny
called Two Bikes, shows a glimpse of this beauty.
The two bikes could simply be put there as the couple will ride to the city later or even that both of them want to ride to the market. Of course, there is
always the country side to visit or one of the beautiful beaches. Bicycles, even standing still, leaned up against a wall, contain the stored energy of travel
and adventure and what lucky bicycles, to be stationed in beautiful Provence in the spring.
The two bikes in the painting can symbolize friendship or love. One could imagine that two friends have stopped to refill their canteens
before going on a wonderful bike ride to see all of the sites that Provence has to offer. One might also imagine that the two bicycle
riders are in Provence for their 25th wedding anniversary, with the children finally out on their own and allowing time for love and companionship again.
Cityscape Art Two Bikes
This wonderful painting sparks the imagination and fills one with a sense of wonder and longing for adventure. This would make an excellent addition
to a living room or office and could even be the focus piece of bedroom décor. The use of color, taken directly from the landscapes
found in Provence, can unify a room and tie together multiple uses of color in both furniture and decorations. This painting
really stands out as a true work of art with the warmth of a home in mind.
